In continuance of its plans to establish Institute-Industry Alliances,  GITS signed a MoU, the sixth so far, with V2Solutions Inc, which is a US based firm headquartered in Silicon Valley with numerous offices in India. They deliver technology solutions to more than a hundred companies in a variety of industries like media & entertainment, retail, software, venture- backed start-ups and more. V2Solutions is a quality-focused, process-driven organization that delivers transformational business solutions to clients across the world.

This MoU signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Anjan Chatterjee, Vice President – Global Delivery and Mr. Vinod Birla, VP Services and owner of V2Force (V2Solutions’s Salesforce Business unit) to initiate the “Training & Placement Support Program 2020” for B. Tech CSE, ECE & MCA students.The process of selecting candidates for the training programme was conducted on 19^th August 2019 which comprised of a technical exam round followed by GD. A total of 21 students; 16 CSE, 4 ECE and 1 from  MCA, were selected by V2Solutions to undergo a six-month training in Salesforce technologies as well as improve their business aptitude and communication skills during the duration of training. The MoU ceremony was attended by Directors of the Geetanjali group, Ms. Kanika Aggarwal and Ms. Shruti Aggarwal, Dr. Vikas Misra, Director-GITS, Mr. BL Jangir, Finance Controller, Head of Departments and Mr. Arvind Pemawat, Head –CDC, faculty and students.  

In his address, Mr. Anjan Chatterjee, VP- Global Delivery informed about the short shelf-life of technologies and the rapid speed of obsolescence in the industry. Therefore, it was essential for students and academia to not only stay updated with the latest developments but to innovate and develop new and easier ways of finding solutions to problems.

Mr. Vinod Birla gave an Expert talk on – ‘Grab Global Career opportunity using Salesforce’ during which he gave a comprehensive walk-though regarding the training programme. He explained that the Salesforce technology, as the world’s number one cloud-based CRM platform that is being used in various verticals be it sale, production, operations, recruitments etc.

GITS through such collaborations undertakes to provide training in contemporary practices and latest technologies to students and nurture proficient and employable engineers.
