Prof. Manish R. Varma currently holds the position of Dean Testing & Consultancy and Head Department of Civil Engineering from July 2015.
He started his career as Junior Engineer in Construction Company. After two years of field experience he joined academic field.
He has vast experience in the field of Civil Materials testing and Consultancy. He is giving consultancy services in private as well as government sectors.
He has worked as expert member in different technical committees for various government departments.
He has developed a WASH Lab at GITS and worked as WASH Chair in IHUWASH project Sanctioned by NIUA New Delhi and Supported by USAID to Support UMC for development of smart city, Udaipur.
He is working Nodal Coordinator for Virtual Lab by IIT Roorkee.
His area of teaching and research are Structure Analysis & Design and Materials.
He designed and executed many value aided training programs for Civil Engineering Students.
He published more than 25 research papers in international, national journals and conferences
