Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS) celebrated Vasant Panchmi in its campus premise. On this auspicious occasion students read the phrases from famous scriptures; Geeta, Kuran, Bible and Guru Granth Sahib, showing religious diversity and oneness among the people of India.
On the same occasion GITS launched Literary club ‘Littéraire’ by releasing its manifesto for the year 2016 and inaugurated Newsletter committee by releasing first monthly newsletter of year 2016.
Eminent Hindi & Rajasthani poet Mr. Purshottam ‘Pallav’ had been the Chief Guest for the ceremony. He addressed students & shared his experience in literature and recited his poems.
GITS also celebrated birth anniversary of ‘Bharat Kokila-Sarojini Naidu’ with organizing Intra-college poetry competition ‘Vaani’. Theme of the competition was Indian female poetess’ poetries and self composed poetries. Shams Siddhqui, Kiran Sharma, Anjali Solanki received first and second and third prize respectively,
On the occasion Principal Prof. M. Venu Gopala Rao addressed students and motivated them with his wise words.
Prof. Babita Jain, Dean Academic GITS also shared her views with students and inspire them to take part in such activities more and more. Mr. B.L. Jhangir along with the members of GITS family attended the ceremony.
Students participated and enjoyed the poetries.
