Geetanjali Group has initiated a new venture “Geetanjali College of Science & Commerce” at Geetanjali Campus, Dabok. The college was inaugurated by Dr. Vikas Misra, Director- GITS, in a brief ceremony which was followed by unveiling of the GCSC Brochure on May 9th, 2019. The College is affiliated to Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur and Approved by StateGovernment. The first academic session will start from July 2019 onwards.

Dr. Vikas Misra Director – GITS, Mr. B.L. Jangir, Finance Controller, Dr. Radha Chaudhary, Principal – GCSC, faculty members, admin staffand students attended the ceremony. This program was followed by a short tour of the campusby the Chief Guest and all attendees.

Dr. Vikas Misra Director – GITS informedthat the new college has various facilities like well-equipped labs, computer labs, centralised library, auditorium, Wi-Fi enabled campus, cafeteria, hostel facility, good transport facility, gymnasiumand sports facilities (Indoor as well as outdoor) etc.The CDC and Placements Cells already functioning at GITS, will provide Aptitude, Communication, and Soft Skills trainings to prepare all students for entrance exams and campus placements. The Entrepreneurship Cell of the College aims to groom new entrepreneurs who not only will be job-seekers but job-providers too.The ongoing practice of conducting Seminars, Expert Lectures, and workshopsby GITS and upcoming GCSC will provide many opportunities and exposure to the students.

Principal of GCSC College, Dr. Radha Chaudhary elaborated on the vision of the management to provide studentswith a diverse learning experience that lays emphasis on the importance of all round personal developmentby giving them access to Research facilities through our collaborations with NPTEL, IIT-Bombay Spoken Tutorial, ACM, Oracle Academy,Swayam, Computer Society of India (CSI), National Mission through ICT mode. She further added that the college will be running BCA, B. Com.  and B.Sc. with PCM and Computer Science.

GCSC is established with a mission to equip youth with knowledge, skills and personal attributes consistent with the need of the technologically advanced and globally competitive economy. The Institute facilitates innovative thinking by presenting students with an exclusive learning ambience to fuel their growth as future professional leaders.GCSC will be offering 3 courses viz B. Com, BCA and B.Sc.  with PCM andComputer Science. The MLSU has given approval of 70 seats in each course.
