GITS celebrated Independence Day this year with zeal and enthusiasm on 15th August 2019. The programme commenced with flag hoisting and singing of the National Anthem. To mark the importance of the occasion, the NCC cadets marched past the flag-post saluting the tricolour and instilling patriotic fervour and pride for the country among the onlookers. The Director, Dr. Vikas Misra and Prof. Dr. P K Jain addressed the students and motivated them towards contribute to nation building. The cultural club organised numerous music, dance solo and group performances inspired by the patriotic theme on 13 and 14 August to build the momentum.
