Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, GITS has organised an International Seminar on “Wireless and Data Communication” on 27 October, 2018. This seminar was sponsored by RTU (ATU) under TEQIP-III.

The objective of this seminar was to deliver an expert talk and make the stakeholders aware about the recent developments in the field of wireless and data communication. Around 70 students and faculty members have benefited from this seminar.

Prof Hari Mohan Gupta received B.E. (Electronics and Communications) from University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee), M.Tech. (Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering) from IIT, Kharagpur  and Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering – Information and Communication Systems Major) from IIT, Kanpur.  He had been a  Chair Professor  and an Emeritus Professor. Currently he is holding  Adjunct Professorial positions at Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu and Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior.

Prof. Gupta held  full time faculty appointments at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and  Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA. He has been visiting professor  at University of Maryland, College Park, USA , Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA , Swiss Federal Institute of Technology(EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland , Helsinki University of Technology, Finland , SKK University, Suwon, South Korea, Dublin City University ,  Dublin, Ireland and several British Universities.

His academic and research interests are  Information and Communication Systems,  Mobile Computing and Networks, Multimedia Information Processing and Photonic Information Systems and Networks.
