Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) has jointly organized “NPTEL Awareness Workshop” on 17 November 2018 in technical collaboration with National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning, India. The workshop was chaired by Prof. Styaki Roy (Professor, IIT Kanpur & NPTEL- National Coordinator) and Mrs. Angana Sen Gupta (Local Chapter Coordinator, IITKanpur).

The aim of NPTEL Awareness Workshop was to create maximum awareness among faculty members about NPTELand its various initiatives. The workshop will include sessions on NPTEL and its features, NPTEL Online Certification courses and the concept of NPTEL Local Chapter.

All faculties learned the benefits of NPTEL, which they can explain to their students. To further take this initiative forward and to encourage more students across colleges to participate in this initiative, GITS have announced the establishment of SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter in GITS.
