A warm welcome was extended to the newly enrolled students of B.Tech, MBA & MCA for the academic year 2019-20 by the Director, Director-MBA, Finance Controller, Head of Departments, and faculty and staff members of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies at the Orientation-cum-Induction Programme on 2nd August 2019.

The programme was organised by the Institute to introduce students to college life; acclimatise them to their new surroundings; and provide an opportunity for the faculty and staff to meet the newest members of the Geetanjali community. It was an effort to quell the doubts and queries by providing essential information; positively and effectively harness the enthusiasm of the students as well as abate their anxiety as they enter a new phase of their education.

The Induction programme commenced with Lamp Lighting, thereafter Dr. Vikas Misra, Director and Dr. P K Jain, Director MBA addressed the students, their families and the staff covering aspects of the college like campus & the facilities, staff and their commitment, training and teaching methodologies, expectations from the students and importantly explained the role engineers played in nation- building. A focused and comprehensive introduction was presented by all the Head of Departments regarding the Institute’s vision, mission, departments, branches, facilities and resources provided to the students, milestones, committees, rules and regulations, collaborations and achievements.

After the talk and presentations, the students with their parents visited their respective departments and participated enthusiastically in the Tree Plantation Drive held at the campus.

The orientation session concluded with lunch at the college mess.
