Geetanjali Institure of Technical Studies Udaipur conducts a seminar on ‘Importance of Internships’ as a part of Internship Day: Aims to build a culture of meaningful internships in Udaipur (Raj.)

The Geetanjali Institure of Technical Studies Udaipur conducted a seminar on internships on 18 July 2019 in their college. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in association with the internship and training platform, Internshala, has announced the second edition of Internship Day to be held on 25th August 2019 to felicitate colleges with the best internship record on Internshala. The internship seminar was conducted as a precursor to the Internship Day and to create awareness about internships among college students.

The seminar was delivered by Dr.Vishal Jain, SPOC Internshala & Associate Professor, Department of Physics in their respective college campuses. The faculty from Geetanjali Institure of Technical Studies held the seminar and explained the current employment scenario in India and how internships can help change it. Prof. Rajeev Mathur, Dean Student Affairs also briefed students about the Internship Day and educated them on how they can land internships in their field of choice.
AICTE is working to improve the employability of students and has mandated internships for all the students enrolled in AICTE-approved academic institutions. As a part of Internship Day, Internshala will assist AICTE approved colleges to provide meaningful internship opportunities for their students. As a part of Internship Day 2018, 50 colleges across India conducted seminars in their campus and a few selected colleges were awarded as the Most Innovative Colleges during the felicitation ceremony. This year, it is estimated that more than 250 colleges would be participating in this mission to make internships more popular among the student community.

Internships help students to develop their skills even before they step out of college. The seminar conducted on 18th July 2019 as a part of the Internship Day event was informative for the students and they got an opportunity to clear their doubts regarding internships. We hope that the Geetanjali Institure of Technical Studies students are able to land meaningful internships and kick-start their career.”
