Technology Development Centers established in May 2016 at GITS, are interdisciplinary research centers carrying out investigations in emerging areas like PLC, SCADA, Embedded Systems, Panel Designing, Robotics, ANSYS, Solid Works, Welding Training, CNC Machining and Programming, Automobile Training, Android, .NET Technologies that typically involve researchers from multiple disciplines and niche academic programs at the graduate level.At present the center caters five major thrust areas of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering by coordinating some of the activities of common nature scattered over various Departments and bring them under a common program for setting up a Center of Excellence.

The aim of this Centre is to achieve excellence in R&D using latest technology at the global level and produce trained professional manpower for the industry. In addition to many of the core engineering and science departments several state-of-the-art research units of the Institute carry out research under the academic umbrella of TDC.In line with the Center’s goal to provide its students with industry-relevant skills, the TDC seeks partnerships with industry and government agencies to validate the skills and trainings the Center offers and hence, maintain the highest standards of service. Such industry partnerships and government collaborations also aid the Center in the conduct of its researches on IT trends, innovations, and breakthroughs.

Around 450 final year students are getting benefitted by the TDC training in the GITS campus running through 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM regularly.Very much awaited is the soft skills extravaganza by the students on 20th June 2:00 PM where in the students shall show case their out of the box talents and skills.The feeling of immense satisfaction and pride on the bright faces of our engineering final year graduates itself reveals the saga of success story of our Technology Development Center
